Orange peel
Dried orange peel tea has a bright, slightly bitter citrus flavor that turns sweeter with a longer steep. The dried peel curls into thin, deep orange strips with a faint white pith on the inside edge. Steep it in water at 205 °F (96 °C) for 5 to 15 minutes: shorter for a light cup, longer for a stronger one, though extra pith can add bitterness. Orange peel pairs naturally with cinnamon, clove, or a few rose petals for a floral note. It's a common addition to spiced tea blends and mulled drinks.
